Dentatura di corona per vite senza fine- Worm wheel production

Il creatore che esegue questa operazione di dentatura di una corona per viti senza fine, è notevolmente complesso, soprattutto a causa della forte elica dei solchi di affilatura.
Il diametro primitivo deve essere il più prossimo a quello della vite che va accoppiata alla corona. La superficie affilata deve essere opportunamente modificata per compensare l'interferenza della mola sui solchi di affilatura.
Bisogna considerare che queste corone non subiscono nessuna operazione di finitura, per cui la dentatura deve essere particolarmente accurata.

For hobbing the worm wheel it's used a very complex hob because the helix angle of the gashes is very high. The pitch diameter of hob must be as close as possible to the pitch diameter of the worm engaged with the wheel. The shape of the cutting face of the hob must be modified in order to compensate the interference between the grinding wheel and the cutting face of the hob.
Normally the worm wheel haven't any more finish operation after hobbing, for this reason the hobbing operation must be very accurate.
